Canned tuna brands are refusing to address enslavement in their supply chains.
Films like Ghost Fleet have helped raise awareness of the fact that modern-day enslavement is common in the global fishing industry. This is confirmed by a new report from the Business and Human Rights Resource Centre. Enslaved fishermen lack bargaining power and become stranded at sea - literally and figuratively - when abuses arise.
