In 2012, President Barack Obama designated January as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Awareness month with January 11th as National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.

Here are some suggestions on how you can help raise awareness on January 11th:

  • Organization a human trafficking awareness program.
  • Start/Participate in a social media campaign against human trafficking.
  • Volunteer with an anti-trafficking organization.
  • Donate to an after-care organization.
