Call for Government Action on World Day against Trafficking in Persons
The United Nations is promoting a global campaign of calling governments to action against modern-day enslavement on World Day against Trafficking in Persons.
Austrian Foreign Ministry Human Trafficking Task Force
http://www.austria.org/human-traffickingThe Austrian Task Force on Combating Human Trafficking is in charge of the National Action Plans on combating human trafficking and of supervising the implementation of these National Action Plans. The Task Force regularly prepares reports on the implementation of Austria’s measures against trafficking in human beings and develops an exhibition for schools called "Human Trafficking - Slavery of the 21st Century" which is also presented at public events.

The 30th Anniversary of the Mauritanian Genocide
On November 25 2019 at 4PM, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center will be hosting an event in honor of victims of enslavement and murder in the northwest African country of Mauritania. It will feature speakers, activists, and advocates.
Ending the Third Slavery
In 2016, Dr. Earl Lewis convened a meeting on slavery among 40 principle collaborators—scholars, organizations, and instiutions—at The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Out of this meeting came the "Slavery and Its Aftermath" initiative at the Center for Social Solutions. This project aims to tackle America’s original sin—slavery.
