Blessed Aid is a non-profit and humanitarian organization. Created in Goma, North Kivu province in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Blessed Aid works on human rights, democracy, peace and pacific cohabitation between communities. Blessed Aid conducts surveys in the field on protection, human rights abuses, gender based-violence and sexual gender-based violence. They address the needs of women and children, including former child soldiers, in post-conflict DRC.

Ending the Third Slavery
In 2016, Dr. Earl Lewis convened a meeting on slavery among 40 principle collaborators—scholars, organizations, and instiutions—at The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Out of this meeting came the "Slavery and Its Aftermath" initiative at the Center for Social Solutions. This project aims to tackle America’s original sin—slavery.
