History

Chhori is a small, women-led, grassroots organization based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Chhori is the Nepali word for “daughter,” a name chosen to reflect our mission to create an equal and just Nepal that loves, respects and empowers our daughters in a way that it does not now. We are all normal women, each with our own story of discrimination and hardship at the hands of patriarchy, who have come together to demand gender justice.

Mission

Chhori is dedicated to promoting, protecting and advocating for the rights of women and children in Nepal and to empowering these women and children to make a positive change in society.

Vision

Chhori will be the premier advocate for women and children facing discrimination and service providers to facilitate change.
