History

ISD started its operation in 1999 to rehabilitate women and children of cyclone affected areas. During this intervention, we came across victims of domestic violence and trafficking survivors, and their sufferings persuaded us to work on them. The immediate solution was to rehabilitate them in shelter homes.

Mission

To promote a violence-free society, to work towards the empowerment of women and to challene social barriers for gender justice

Vision

Violence-free, gender sensitive social development with participation of the poorest women in decision-making
