History, Mission, and Vision Statement:

Arise was established in 2015 to achieve abolition by developing and supporting frontline organisations. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, finding and developing dynamic alliances with networks of frontline abolitionists, catalysing and developing their work. We do this by giving financial support or helping to deliver essential help on the ground. We also offer advice, administrative or capacity building support to build their power.

Charitable objects:  

The promotion of human rights (as set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and subsequent United Nations conventions and declarations) and elimination of the infringement of human rights by people trafficking anywhere in the world by all or any of the following means: 

  • Raising awareness of human rights issues
  • Monitoring abuses of human rights;
  • Promoting public support for human rights
  • Providing technical advice to government and others on human rights matters;
  • Commenting on proposed human rights legislation;
  • Obtaining redress for the victims of human rights abuse;
  • Promoting respect for human rights among individuals and corporations;
  • Relieving need among the victims of human rights abuse.
